Fire Over the Danube - Hungarian Parliament Building, Budapest, Hungary
An early departure turned into an unplanned gift, as the pre-dawn sky over the Danube erupted in amber and violet. The Parliament's Gothic Revival spires stood in silhouette against the blaze, while a river cruiser traced a quiet wake below. Completed in 1904, it was briefly the world's largest parliament building.

Castles of Dreams - Charyn Canyon, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan
Millions of years of wind and water have carved these red sandstone towers into castle-like formations, their striated layers recording a slow geological history. The afternoon light rakes across the eroded pillars, deepening the contrast between the warm ochre stone and the shadowed canyon walls beyond.

Sky on Fire Over Taipei - Taipei 101, Taipei, Taiwan
An early morning shot from my hotel room, with Taipei 101’s silhouette set against a sky streaked in orange and violet. Completed in 2004, it held the title of world’s tallest building until 2010.

Before the Squall - Phuket, Thailand
Limestone karsts rose like shadows against a darkening sky, the calm before a storm that would soon catch us on the water. The islands faded into haze as the clouds closed in.

Photographed with Nikon Z8 and NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S at 110mm, f4, 1/500s, ISO 64, 18 June 2025

From the Edge of Titlis - Mount Titlis, Swiss Alps, Switzerland
From the summit of Mount Titlis, the rugged cliffs and snow-covered ridges unfold into a deep alpine valley. A longer focal length compresses the layers of mountains, revealing a striking interplay of light, shadow, and distance.

Photographed with Nikon Z9 and NIKKOR Z 24–70mm f/4 S at 66mm, f/6_3, 1/320s, ISO 64, 16 October 2022

Temple of Dawn at Dusk - Wat Arun, Bangkok, Thailand
Wat Arun, the “Temple of Dawn,” rises along the Chao Phraya, its spires studded with porcelain that catches the fading light. The river remains Bangkok’s lifeline, the artery around which the old city still moves. A long-tail boat cuts across the water as the sky turns gold to pink.

Photographed with Nikon Z9 and NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S at 61mm, f6_3, 1/40s, ISO 560, 30 January 2023
