Parsurameswar — Where Odisha’s Temple Story Begins
Built in the 7th century, this ancient shrine quietly marks the transition in Odisha's temple architecture. The temple introduced an attached Jagamohana (entrance/assembly hall) alongside the sanctum.

More than an entrance, this graceful stone arch is a doorway into the imagination of 10th-century Odisha. Its flowing carvings of women, peacocks, monkeys and intricate scrolls reveal an artist who turned stone into movement.
